SONY ERICSSON SATIO - MOBILE REVIEW
Sony Ericsson has decided to put the two Walkman and Cybershot brands together in the new Satio. This means an industry-leading camera, a full range of multimedia playback options and it's based on Symbian S60 5th edition to boot. The overall feel of the handset is odd. Thanks to the sheer range of camera-related gadgetry on board the rear of the phone has a massive camera section bolted to the back, which makes it a little chunky. There is a front facing video camera on there too for all that video calling fun everyone has these days, but it's down the sides of the phone where the button frenzy really begins. On the left-hand side is the slider for unlocking the phone (which is in just about the right place for most hands), the standard Sony Ericsson port for USB connection, charging and headphone connection (boo!). Below that lives the microSD slot, which is covered by a nice hinged flap. Over on the right side of the phone we get the camera controls, with the zoom buttons doubling as the volume up/down keys, despite having the 'proper' zoom icons on.The Satio is being tipped as a multimedia device, and to that end the box is filled with audio and visual goodies. We've already pointed out how very, very disappointed we are there's no 3.5mm headphone jack on the Satio, but Sony Ericsson has tried to temper that problem with a variety of headphone options in the box.

AVATAR - MOVIE REVIEW
Movie made at a staggering half a billion dollars and promised amazing, never seen before visuals – you actually not know what to expect from this flick. I was blank as well, as I walked in to the theater wearing dark glasses thinking whether it was going to be a film that was just going to show graphics and graphics only and flush the story and narration down the sewer? Anything could happen, I told myself you save the disappointment, but coming from James Cameroon, I convinced myself that it would have a decent enough story and amazing visuals. Just like Terminator and Titanic – Both of them which had a pretty interesting story but even more appealing visuals and effects. Avatar reminds us about another great film Matrix that hit the screens 10 years back, probably when James Cameroon went to the floors with this film. Two bodies – one mind. Human Genome mixed with those of the humanoids of Pandora and so…. Well you kind of understand it even though you are sweating at the mention of few biological utterances. Our hero has Equivalent pandorian which he can control with his mind. His mission is to gain the natives of Pandora’s trust and negotiate deals with them for re locating them so that human’s can extract the precious stone worth 20 million Dollars. The stone has a very complicated name, so let’s just call it the precious stone.
Our hero finally befriends them , becomes one of them and just as when he is trying to understand them more deeply, He makes a confession on a video cam that it is very difficult to re locate the natives as they wouldn’t want to relocate. All hell breaks loose as the human’s led by a head strong major launch an offensive against their village that is on top of a tree. The tree (Their Village) is brought down and is smashed. The natives try to take revenge. This makes the entire chunk of the climax! On the whole, Avatar pretty much delivers what I expected out of it… A decent interesting story line and visuals I have not seen anywhere. It delivers it. It’s just right THERE. Skip the movie, if you want to kindle the cinephile in you.

MATHIYA CHENNAI- MOVIE REVIEW
Except for a few known faces including a cameo by Prakash Raj, the movie largely has debutants in the lead with Jayvanth playing the lead. The story is big enough to be scribbled in a post-it note. The protagonist earns the ire of a gangster after crossing roads with him but merits the love of his daughter. He goes on to make a movie with the help of his daughter but when it was ready for release, the enraged father pulls out all the stops to prevent it from screening. But in the process, he ends up with blood in his hand. Repenting for his act and seeking peace, he goes back to the slum and starts serving the poor who he earlier treated like slaves. Dramatic indeed. The movie heaves its way through the total duration with no specific drive in the plot. The screenplay is ridden with loopholes and the strictly so-so performances do nothing to improve the proceedings. Kanja Karuppu’s comedy induces yawn than laughter.
Your surprise of spotting Ilayaraja’s name in the opening credits remains just that, a surprise. Neither the songs nor the background score has any Ilayaraja stamp on it, surprisingly. And if that’s not enough, there’s another surprise in the name of Karthik Raja, he’s the cinematographer of the movie. The name Mathiya Chennai might evoke a sense of revulsion but the movie is not about repulsive gangsters or gang wars. It’s a rather plain story of love and loss that treads the same old path of love, vengeance, guilt and other dramatic emotions.

"I think, apart from Sir Garfield Sobers nobody else has played 20 years in international cricket and 20 years playing at the very highest level and to the very highest standard is an achievement beyond compare." - Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar.
"He continues to give more than 100 per cent and his schoolboy-like enthusiasm for the game is something I envy and admire. For the team he is the best available coaching manual." - Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
"There will never be another Sachin Tendulkar." - Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiash Muralitharan.
"The way he has taken on the role of India's greatest sporting ambassador... He has, among other things, inspired a generation and more to play cricket." - India's 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev.
"His humbleness and simplicity has helped him to achieve what others could not. His dedication is one of the main reasons for his achievements and he is role model to up and coming youngsters. In India every youngster who is in to school or college cricket wants to become a Sachin." - Former captain and Chairman of India's selection panel Kris Srikkanth.
"What I admire about Sachin is his humility, respect for elders and the passion for the game that he has retained even after so many years and after achieving so much in cricket. He has not changed at all." - Former India captain Dilip Vengsarkar.
"He is a great human being, a great player and I have been very lucky to have a friend like Sachin Tendulkar. I want to wish him all the luck. I want to congratulate him for finishing his 20 years in international cricket. He has dominated world cricket for 20 years and I hope that he will continue to dominate it." - Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh.
"I have delayed my shoots many times to watch Sachin bat" - Filmstar Amitabh Bachchan.

"Over the years Sachin has remained remarkably consistent and has more records than anybody I can remember. His talent and versatility are unquestioned which is why the only question that rankles is why he did not win enough games for his team?" - Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan.
"His biggest strength as a batsman is his adaptability. And that is something really. really amazing, something so special." - Former India captain Sourav Ganguly.
"In his life cricket comes first. When he is on tour he is thinking about nothing but cricket, and when he is not on tour he dedicates quality time to his family. That shows his dedication to the game and to his family. He has found the right balance." - Tendulkar's India teammate and opening partner Virender Sehwag.
"He loves cricket and with his hardwork, focus and commitment he has truly become a outstanding ambassador for the sport at a time when commercialism is so rampant." - Former Pakistan captain and coach Javed Miandad.

"I don't watch cricket much but I admire Sachin Tendulkar. I like the way he has conducted himself over the years. He has been such a huge star for so long but has not had a single controversy against his name." - Olympic bronze medallist boxer Vijender Singh.
"The best thing about Sachin Tendulkar is that he's completely rooted, down to earth, and a thorough gentleman. He's probably the best thing to have happened to Indian cricket and maybe Indian sport as a whole." - Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.
"I see him continuing until more landmarks like 50 hundreds. 100 centuries is not difficult for him because the passion for the game is still very much there even after 20 years," - Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif.

DHONI & CO PARTYING WITH WINE AND WOMEN AFTER AUSSIE SERIES LOSS
The night of the Hyderabad ODI was one that every Indian fan is bound to find hard to forget. NewsX brings for you exclusive pictures from a Hyderabad hotel, a few hours after the Indian team lost to Australia by a mere three runs. First up is captain Dhoni with a gaggle of girls. The girls clearly can't get enough of the smashing Indian skipper. Dhoni wasn't the only one enjoying female company - new boy Ravindra Jadeja seems to have had his piece of fun too. Ashish Nehra can be also seen holding a glass of something that looks spurious to say the least. And, if one looks closely enough, one can see therein Virender Sehwag behind a huge cloud of smoke. Are the Indian players out of line in behaving like this after a harrowing day's play? Yes. With the team having lost, that's probably the most obvious sentiment.

INDIA LOSES ODI SERIES- INJURED AUSSIE WINS THE SERIES
Left-arm seamer Doug Bollinger grabbed five for 35 to set up Australia's six-wicket victory over India in the sixth one-dayer on Sunday for an unassailable 4-2 lead in the seven-match series. New ball bowler Bollinger dismissed Sachin Tendulkar (10) and Yuvraj Singh (6) off successive overs in his opening spell before claiming Mahendra Dhoni (24), Harbhajan Singh (zero) and Ravindra Jadeja for 57 to bowl out India for 170. All-rounders Jadeja and Praveen Kumar (54 not out) struck fifties and shared in a 74-run stand for the eighth wicket to lift the hosts, who were tottering at 27 for five after choosing to bat first on a two-paced pitch.
In-form Shane Watson struck 49 but the world champions suffered a mini collapse when off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took the wickets of Watson and Ricky Ponting (25) in quick succession. Michael Hussey (35 not out) put on 53 for the fourth wicket with Cameron White (25) and 29 with Adam Voges (23 not out) to guide the team to victory in 41.5 overs. The last match will be played in Mumbai on Wednesday.

KANDEN KADHALAI - MOVIE REVIEW

At the outset, it is important to understand that this film is not only about love or romance. It also shows at places about how life and all its ups and downs have to be dealt with. The story defends love and lovers under all circumstance. Some people might find certain thoughts a bit difficult to agree with, but that doesn’t hinder the film much. The chemistry of the lead pair which is the moving force of the film has worked well. Both Tamanna and Bharath look fresh and different in their roles. Bharath is neat and sophisticated in his role. Tamanna looks good especially in the half saree. As for her performance, she is really good while bringing out different facets of the character. It is a commendable effort. She has proved her ability to pull off a wide range of roles. The high point of the movie is Santhanam’s whacky comic act. Appearing as the bridegroom chosen by Anjali, his dialogues infuse life into the movie. The audience loves him, except when he goes into double entendre mode. This could have been avoided as it spoils the clean family entertainer status that the movie could have had. The major drawback of Kanden Kadhalai is its lack of continuity at places. There are also places where the events seem a bit artificial. The music, which is an important part of any romantic flick, has not worked too well. Only ‘Suttudhu Suttudhu’ makes an impression. Other songs don’t stick to your mind; their placement too is not apt. Camerawork is colorful and well suited to the mood of the film.

LONDON DREAMS - MOVIE REVIEW

Vipul, who showed his talents in his earlier movies, proves once again why he is considered to be a top director by making a visually stunning movie with almost flawless direction. Some scenes like Ajay Devgn talking to a drunken Salman about being sorry for what he is about to do is poetic brilliance. Salman Khan's misadventures in the flight are entertaining. Though Salman Khan's dialogues in the climax are melodramatic it works for the scene brilliantly. But the movie suffers due to few reasons, like some sloppy transitions, unwanted songs and most of all selecting Ajay Devgn to play a rock-star. He is a star alright and the emotional scenes proves how much he has improved as an actor but the character needed a person who is much more energetic on screen and especially on-stage, which he lacked completely. The introduction scenes of all the lead, except Ajay, have been done badly; especially Asin who comes into the picture from no-where and ends up in the band. The pre-climax in the Wembley stadium is laughable, with 90000 people in the audience waiting for Ajay to utter some Hindi dialogues and sending their empty water bottles up in the sky on a regular basis is not at all acceptable. The movie is high on the emotional quotient like Vipul's last two directorial ventures but will 'London Dreams' sustain at the box-office as they did will be interesting to see. But overall, a decent movie with some interesting performance and amazing camera work .

ASAL OR VETTAIKARAN- WHICH WILL BE THE BEST??
Finally, Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ is slated to hit the screens for Pongal 2010. It’s been a well known story that the film was supposed to get released for Diwali and literally got postponed due to last minute changes in shooting schedule. Now, the closer hands of trade analysts have mentioned that Pongal 2010 will have more releases. Ajith Kumar’s ‘ASAL’ directed by Saran will also hit the screens for the occasion. Actors Vijay and Ajith Kumar have been best rivalries at box office. It’s worth mentioning that both their films have been released on the same occasion (Thirumalai and Aanchaneya for Diwali 2003, Aadhi and Paramasivan for Tamil New Year 2006).
This time, it may get tougher for both the stars as they have got to deliver a successful film since their previous releases had witnessed unfavourable results. Apart from Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’ and Ajith Kumar’s ‘ASAL’, Karthi-Thamannah starrer ‘Paiyya’ is also getting released. Buzzes are that Silambarasan’s ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ directed by Gowtham Menon may also release for the festive occasion.
