The reports have furthermore stated that it will take nearly a couple of months to complete the post productions works: editing, sound recording and graphic works.Earlier, it was reported that Selvaraghavan’s magnum opus “Aayirathil Oruvan’ is sure to hit screens for Christmas. But now it has been confirmed that Aayirathil Oruvan is nowhere near its release in 2009 and will be release for 2010 pongal.Ravendran has issued a press statement saying that the film was started as a Rs 7 crore project, then it became Rs 12 crore and finally at the time of release it will touch Rs 31 Crore!. He also said the movie shaped out well, it took time because it is an action adventure period drama with lots of special effects and graphics. Now it is getting ready for release positively for Pongal 2010. Until now, none of the TV channels have come forward to acquire the satellite rights due to big price tags. As well, buzzes are that distributors are unwillingly backing off as Ravendran has quoted big amount that may not benefit them with desired results.
